POSITION PURPOSE: Responsible for planning, developing, implementing and evaluating all patient/family services; including coordination of all aspects of direct patient care. Serves as team leader, providing direction and supervision for direct care staff. Assist VP of Hospice with overall regulatory, administrative and financial direction of the hospice agency office as outlined in the company’s policy and procedure manuals. Ensures the provision of hospice services that reflect Valir’s philosophy and standards of Hospice. Adheres to all state, federal and regulatory guidelines as applicable. POSITION REQUIREMENTS: License or Certification: Current Oklahoma RN license. Total Education, Vocational Training, and Experience: Five years of the last seven years in hospice or home health agency or health facility, at least three years which was in a supervisory or administrative role or Bachelor’s degree in nursing or related field and /or professional license in the field of human services preferred. SKILLS AND ABILITIES: Knowledge and demonstrated capacity for leadership skills are required; Ability to make independent decisions; Must keep abreast of changes in hospice industry; Must be able to interpret financial statements; Ability in promoting public relations and referral sources; Participation in health associations and educational programs indicative of professional growth is required. Must have the ability to perform computer skills.
